Operating Instructions and Parts Manual
Assembly
Purchase a hose, regulator and shutoff
valve that has a minimum rating of
175 psi and exceeds the maximum
working pressure of the compressor.
INSTALLING A SHUT-OFF VALVE
A shut-off valve should be installed on the discharge port of
the tank to control the air flow out of the tank.
Available from Campbell Hausfeld (Item # PA117000AV).
The valve should be located between the tank and the piping
system.
FILTER
Install intake fi lter on pump (see Figure 12). Filter styles may
vary.
BREATHER INSTALLATION
Remove cap from forward opening on crankcase (see
Figure 13). Install breather (found in parts bag with this
manual) as shown in Figure 14.
LUBRICATION
CHECK FOR PROPER OIL LEVEL
BEFORE OPERATING!
Check oil level (see Figure 15) - some models are shipped with
oil in the pump. Reference the Oil Information chart in this
manual or the specification label on compressor pump for the
proper oil capacity and oil type. Add oil if needed. Place oil fill
plug back on pump.
This pump has an oil sight glass as shown in Figure 16. Oil level
can be monitored and maintained as shown in Figure 15.
OIL
Use a full synthetic air compressor oil in the air compressor
pump as recommended by the manufacturer. See the
Oil Information chart for oil options. Do not use regular
automotive oil. Additives in regular motor oil can cause valve
deposits and reduce pump life. For maximum pump life, drain
and replace oil after the first hour of run time.

Hausfeld (Item # CE0032).
