IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Improper grounding can result in a risk of
electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician
if the grounding instructions are not
completely understood, or if doubt exists as
to whether the appliance is properly
grounded. Do not use an extension cord. If
the power cord is too short, have a qualified
electrician install an outlet near the
appliance.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock,
do not use this fan with any solid-state speed
control devices.

This ventilator assembly must be installed
with blower model(s) VTN1030C, VTR630D,
VTR1030D, VTR1330E, or VTR1530D.
Other ventilator blowers cannot be
substituted.
a. Use this unit only in the manner intended
by the manufacturer. If you have questions,
contact the manufacturer. (Thermador
Customer Service at 800-735-4328).
b. Before servicing or cleaning unit,
switch power OFF at service panel and
lock the service disconnecting means to
prevent power from being switched on
accidentally.
When
disconnecting means cannot be locked,
securely fasten a prominent warning device,
such as a tag, to the service panel.
CAUTION
For general ventilating use only. DO NOT use
to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials
or vapors.
WARNING
c. Installation work and electrical wiring must
be done by qualified person(s) in
accordance with all applicable codes and
standards, including fire-rated construction.
d. Sufficient air is needed for proper
combustion and exhausting of gases through
the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment
to prevent back drafting. Follow the heating
equipment manufacturer's guideline and
safety standards such as those published
by the National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA), and the American Society for
Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code
authorities.
e. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling,
do not damage electrical wiring and other
hidden utilities.
f. Ducted fans must always be vented to the
outdoors.
g. To properly exhaust air, be sure to duct
air outside. Do not vent exhaust air into
spaces within walls, ceilings, attics, crawl
spaces, or garages.
h. Before you plug in an electrical cord, be
sure all controls are in the OFF position.
