CROSSBAR INSTALLATION
1.
Using emery cloth (220 or finer), remove surface rust, Loctite
foreign material from hub, splined gearbox vertical shaft, and crossbar
assembly.
2.
Slide crossbar assembly (10) onto splined shaft. Install washer (71) and
nut (72) and align a slot with hole in splined shaft. Torque nut to 1085 Nm
(800 lbs-ft).
3.
Install cotter pin (73) through slot in nut and bend ends over.
