Adjust the Headset Tension
Select the Active Side of the Chestpiece
Only one side of the chestpiece is acoustically active at a time,
identified by a mark on the stem.
Rotate the chestpiece to change which side is active.
Listen to Low and High Frequency Sounds with Littmann Tunable
Diaphragms on Each Side of the Chestpiece
Use the large side for adults and the small side for pediatric or thin
patients, around bandages and carotid assessment.

To reduce the spring tension, pull the
eartubes apart.
To increase the spring tension, squeeze
the eartubes together.
Low frequencies: apply light pressure to
the chestpiece
High frequencies: apply firm pressure to
the chestpiece
