6. Songs RECORD and PLAY
Record your own songs by pressing RECORD. Play them back by pressing RCC PLAY. The keyboard has
a recording capacity of 88 notes.
7. TOUCH, DUAL VOICE, SPLIT
Use the TOUCH button to enable/disable the dynamic rendering of voices, i.e. accounting for the
velocity at which the keys are depressed.
Use DUAL VOICE to play 2 voices simultaneously (and get richer textures). To play the additional voice,
press DUAL VOICE, then select the voice using the numeric keypad.
SPLIT allows you to assign a second voice to the 24 lowest keys of the keyboard. To activate this mode,
press SPLIT, then select the voice using the numeric keypad.
8. Rhythm edit
Press RHY EDIT to record your own rhythms using the 8 panel drums or the keyboard in keyboard
drums mode. Recording capacity is 32 notes. Press RHY PLAY to play you recordings.

10. Chords accompaniment
When rhythm has started, press SINGLE CHORD to enter the mode. By playing special fingerings
in the chord area of the keyboard (consisting of the 19 leftmost keys of the keyboard) you will hear
automatic accompaniment arrangements. Possible fingerings allow for major, minor, 7th minor and
7th major chords.
Press FINGER CHORD to play automatic accompaniments when you play chords normally (major,
minor, 7th minor and 7th major chords only).
BASS CHORD changes the rendering of bass in the accompaniment.
CHORD CLEAR allows you to stop the chord function.
11. Memories
By simultaneously pressing MEMORY and M1 to M5 you can save voice and rhythm settings for later
recall. Press M1 to M5 to recall the settings previously saved.

13. Transpose
Use TRANSPOSE to heighten or lower the general tuning of the instrument by half-tones. To restore
the default level, press « + » and « - » simultaneously.
14. Vibrato, sustain
SUSTAIN button enables/disables a sustain effect on notes played (extension of the sound duration
after a keyboard key is released).
VIBRATO button enables/disables a vibrato effect on sound (slow oscillation of sound frequency).
Press « + » or « - » to access 7 levels. To cancel the effect, press « + » and « - » simultaneously.

16. Voices, rhythms
This keyboard has 128 voices. Default voice is PIANO, voice 00. Use the numeric keypad or « + » or « - »
to select voices from 00 to 99. To select voices from 100 to 127, dial 99 and use « + » or « - ».
The keyboard also has 100 rhythms. To select a rhythm, press STYLE, then dial 00 to 99, or use « + » or
« - ». Press PLAY or STOP to play or stop the rhythm.
17. Songs
To play pre-recorded songs, press SONG, then DEMO, then the number of the demo you wish to play
(00 to 11). You can also use « + » or « - ».

19. Rhythm control
Press INTRO/END, then START to play an automatic rhythm introduction before your song. Press
INTRO/END during rhythm play to execute a rhythm ending.
Press FILL IN to get a short, temporary variation in your rhythm.
Press SYNC to start rhythm automatically when you start depressing the first keyboard key.
20. Tempo
Using the « + » and « - » tempo buttons, you can adjust the tempo from 40 to 280 beats per minute.
To restore default the tempo (120), press « + » and « - » simultaneously.
21. Learning guides, fine tuning
Use GUIDE 1, 2 and 3 in conjunction with a demo song. GUIDE 1 allows you to play the melody note
by note, by playing any key on the keyboard. GUIDE 2 requires you to play the exact note of the
melody for the melody to progress. GUIDE 3 allows you to stop the melody while accompaniment
continues (similar to a karaoke).
FINE TUNING allows tuning of the entire instrument by steps of 1 cent. To restore default level (440Hz),
press « + » and « - » simultaneously.
22. Panel drums
8 percussive instruments can be played directly from the panel buttons.
23. Keyboard drums
This button enables a special mode that lets you play 61 percussive instruments from the keyboard.
Press the button again to get back to normal keyboard mode.
24. Pitch bend
This control affects the pitch (frequency) of a note as it is played.
