NOTE!
For the parameters that can be changed with the
motor running, the SCA06 starts using the new value
immediately.
For the parameters that can only be changed with the
motor stopped, the SCA06 starts using the new value
only after pressing the key with the motor deactivated.
NOTE!
In order to change the value of a parameter, first it
is necessary to set P000 = Password Value. The
password value for the factory setting is 5. Otherwise,
you can only see them, but not change them.
EXAMPLE 1 – PROGRAMMING THE PASSWORD
SCA06 energized, without faults.
(search mode)
Press the key. Thus, the content
of parameter P00000 is accessed.
The selected digit keeps flashing.
(modification mode)
Set the password by pressing
until number 5 shows on the display.
Press the key. The value is saved.

PREPARATION FOR POWER-UP

DANGER!
Always disconnect the main power supply before
making any connection.
DANGER!

Check all the connections: Check if the power, grounding and
control connections are correct and firm.

FIRST POWER-UP

ƒ
Check the supply voltages: Measure the supply voltage and check
if it is within the allowed ranges [see user manual – Chapter 9 – Item
9.1 Power Data and Item 9.2 Electronics Data.
ƒ
Uncouple the servomotor mechanically from the load: If the
servomotor cannot be uncoupled, it must be ensured the spinning
in any direction (forward or reverse) will not cause damages to the
machine or risk of accident.
ƒ
Power-up the control:
The HMI must show P00000.
ƒ
Change the motor type parameter (P385) according to the
connected servomotor and the other configuration parameters as
necessary (see configuration procedure described in example 1).
ƒ
Energize the power:
Close the input disconnecting switch.
The red LED "Power on" must turn on.
ATTENTION!
In the first power-up, first energize the electronics,
program the necessary parameters to start the SCA06
and then activate the motor.
For further details of the start-up, see the user manual – Chapter 6.

CE AND UL CERTIFICATIONS

The SCA06 line of converters complies with the CE standard with up
to 15 m long motor connection cables, except for the SCA06C05P3
model, which complies with CE with up to 6 m long cables.
In order to use longer cables, external filters must be used in the line
input so as to keep compliance with the CE standard.
All the electrical connections (line, motor and ground) must be done
according to the user manual.
The entire line of SCA06 converters has UL certification. UL certified
fuses must be used in the power circuit supply for compliance with
the standard.
