Caution!
In order to avoid injuries and damage, certain safety
precaution must be taken when using these devices. For
this reason, please read this operating manual carefully.
Keep it in a safe place in order that it is available for
referencing at all times. If you pass on the device to
other persons, please pass on this operating manual as
well. We do not assume liability for accidents or damage
resulting from the non-compliance with the content of
this manual and the safety instructions.

1. Safety instructions

The electricity generator may not be modified.
Only original parts may be used for maintenance and as
accessories.
Caution: Risk of poisoning, exhaust gases, fuels and
lubricants are toxic, exhaust gases must not be inhaled.
Children must be kept away from the electricity
generator.
Caution: Risk of burning. Do not touch the exhaust gas
system and the drive unit.
Use suitable ear protection if you are in close proximity
to the device.
Caution: Petrol and petrol fumes are highly flammable
and explosive.
Do not operate the generator in unventilated closed
rooms or in an easily flammable environment.
Risk of explosion: Never operate the generator in
unventilated rooms with easily flammable substances.
The rotational speed pre-set by the manufacturer may
not be modified. The electricity generator or connected
devices may be damaged.
Protect the electricity generator against shifting and
toppling during transport.
Leave a distance of at least 1 m between the electricity
generator and walls or connected devices.
Place the generator on a secure, flat surface. Turning
and toppling or a changing of location during operation is
prohibited.
Engine must always be switched off before transporting
it or refilling fuel.
When refilling, make sure that no fuel is spilled on the
engine or on the exhaust gas pipe.
Never operate the generator during rain or snowfall.
Never touch the generator with wet hands.
Protect yourself against electrical hazards.
When using the device outdoors, only use extension
cables which are expressly suitable for outdoor use and
are labelled accordingly (HO7RN-F).
The overall length of extension cables may not exceed
50 m at a cross section of 1.5 mm² or 100 m at a cross
section of 2.5 mm².
Engine and generator settings may not be modified.
Repair and adjustment works may only be performed by
authorised qualified personnel.
Do not refill or empty the tank in close proximity to
naked light, fire or flying sparks. Do not smoke!
Do not touch mechanically driven or hot components.
Do not remove protective covers.
The devices may not be exposed to humidity or dust.
Admissible environmental temperature -10 °C to +40 °C
(14 °F to 104 °F), altitude: 1000 m above sea level, rel.
humidity: 90 % (non-condensing).
The generator is driven by a combustion engine which
causes heating in the area of the exhaust pipe and of
the exhausted gas. Avoid contact with these surfaces as
there is a risk of burning your skin.
