14. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
15. Make sure that the kettle is used on a flat
surface. The appliance or the cable must not
be close to heating sources or open flames.
16. Do not open the appliance as long as the
water is boiling.
17. The kettle and must only be used with the
corresponding base, but in no case with
accessories of other kettle makes.
18. Unplug the appliance after use and before
cleaning it.
19. The kettle is fitted with a boil-dry protection
which switches off the heating when it
becomes too hot, for instance when the
kettle has boiled dry. Allow the kettle to
cool down for approx. 15 minutes. Then fill

firSt uSe anD hanDlinG

1. Plug the lead of the base into the mains.

res, maximum 1.2 litres, mark MAX). For
the first use fill up to the mark MAX.

water may be ejected.
4. Close the lid until by pressing the black
button on the lid until it clicks into place.
The locking prevents accidental opening
during pouring out.
5. Place the kettle level on the base in order
to establish the contact with the power
connection.
6. Switch on the kettle by pressing the key
downwards. The inside of the kettle will be
lighted (control lamp function). Pour away
water from first boiling.

cleaninG anD care

1. allow the appliance to cool before cleaning
it.
2. Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance
and unplug it from the power supply.
3. Do not immerse the base, power cord or
kettle in water or other liquids or wash them
in the dishwasher.
4. Wipe off the base and the kettle with a damp
cloth and a little dishwashing detergent. Do

the kettle with cold water. This will reset
the shutoff so that the kettle can be used
again.
20. Check the plug and power cord regularly for
wear and damage. In case of a fault, please
send the appliance for inspection/repair
to our after sales service (address see last
page). Inadequate repair may constitute a
risk for the user and result in the loss of
guarantee.

by operating the I switch.

pressing ON the switch.
9. The kettle is fitted with a dry-operation cutoff
that switches off the heating elements when
they become too hot, for instance when the
kettle has boiled dry. Allow the kettle to cool
down. Then fill the kettle with cold water.

wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or
disinfectants, since they can damage the
appliance.
5. The appliance must be completely dry on
the outside before you use it again.
