3. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by
children, unless they are older than 8 years and are supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of
children under 8 years.
5. Connect the appliance to alternating current only, in accordance
with the rating label.
6. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
7. Do not immerse the appliance or the power cord into water or
another liquid.
8. The heating element and the power cord must not come into
contact with water.
9. Do not touch the appliance or the power cord with wet hands.
10. Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, metals surfaces or
wet surfaces.
11. The appliance and the power cord must keep a sufficient safety
distance to open flames.
12. This appliance is intended for domestic and similar use such as:
ƒ staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environ-
ments;
ƒ agricultural enterprises;
ƒ by clients in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities;
ƒ bed and breakfast accommodations and holiday homes.
13. Use the appliance only on a flat, solid, and dry surface.
14. Ensure that the power supply cord does not hang down from the
working top edge as it could be easily pulled down, particularly
by young children, thereby causing serious accidents.
15. Do not wind the power cord around the appliance to avoid dam-
ages.
16. Make sure that any contact between the power cord and hot
parts of the appliance is avoided.
17. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
18. The surfaces of the appliance become hot during use. Only use
the heat-insulated handles and control elements.
19. Keep sufficient distance to inflammable objects such as cur-
tains etc.
