SAFETY SWITCH-OFF

1.
The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection circuit. If the
appliance is switched on, when it does contain any deep-frying grease, or if
the heating coil is not sufficiently covered with grease, then the appliance
will be switched off automatically to avoid overheating.
2.
In this case, first turn off the appliance and unplug the mains plug. Let the
appliance cool and press in the Reset button on the rear of the operating
element (e.g. with a toothpick).
3.
The appliance can now be reused.

CLEANING AND CARE

1.
Take out the operating element by carefully pulling it upward.
2.
The operating element must never be immersed in water, or come into
contact with water.
3.
Take out the grease container with both hands. If you want to reuse the
deep-frying grease, pour the grease through a sieve that is lined with a
paper towel. Keep the grease in the refrigerator, e. g. in the covered grease
container. Solidified deep-fat frying grease can be briefly warmed up in a
pot on the stove before reuse, until it is just liquid enough to be poured into
the grease container. Deep-fat frying grease must be replaced on a regular
basis. Dispose of oil or grease that is past its prime in an environmentally-
responsible manner in accordance with the local disposal regulations.
4.
Do not use any aggressive or scouring cleaning agents; such cleaning agents
can damage the coating.
5.
The lid can be taken off the appliance for easier cleaning. To do this, press
in the closure mechanism of the lid and carefully pull the lid upwards and
off of the appliance. To re-insert the lid, the pins on the lid must be inserted
in the hinges on the rear of the appliance.
6.
With the exception of the operating element, all parts can be washed in
warm water with a mild dish-washing detergent or in the dishwasher. If
there is encrustation, allow the encrustation to soften by placing the parts
in warm water.
Before cleaning, unplug the mains plug.
Allow the appliance to cool completely. Do not touch the heating
coil, because it is still hot, even after a longer period of time.
