Additional Electronic Control Panel Features
Vacation Mode
The vacation mode feature allows you to operate the refrigerator
with maximum energy savings while you are away from home.
Vacation mode does not affect the previous temperature settings,
it just modifies them while the feature is on.
NOTE: No other feature can be turned on when the control is in
vacation mode.
Press the Fast Freezing button to set the freezer to the lowest
temperature setting. The display screen will show downward
arrows to indicate the freezer is cooling rapidly.
Press the Cancel/Hold button to return to the normal
operation settings. The Vacation mode will turn off
automatically when it senses the doors have been open and
closed seven (or more) times.
Fast Freezing
The fast freezing feature assists with temporary periods of heavy
ice use by increasing ice production.
Press the Fast Freezing button to set the freezer to the lowest
temperature setting. The display screen will show downward
arrows to indicate the freezer is cooling rapidly.
Press the Cancel/Hold button to return to the normal freezer
set point.
Hold Mode
The hold mode feature allows you to have the refrigerator door
open for 15 minutes, after grocery shopping, without affecting the
operation of the refrigerator or causing it to lose performance
because the door is open.
The hold mode does not affect the refrigerator temperature
settings.
Press the Cancel/Hold button. The information on the display
screen will start to blink.
Press the Cancel/Hold button again to return to the previously
set temperature settings as quickly as possible.

Lock/Unlock
The Lock feature allows you to lock the control buttons to avoid
unintentional setting changes by small children or pets.
Press and hold the Vacation Mode and Fast Freezing controls
simultaneously for 3 seconds. A warning sign and a key icon
will appear on the display screen.
NOTE: If you try to press a control when the refrigerator is in
Lock mode, the control will beep and the icons will blink.
Press and hold the Vacation Mode and Fast Freezing controls
simultaneously for 3 seconds or until the control beeps and
the warning sign and a key icon disappear from the display
screen.
Door Ajar Alarm
The Door Ajar alarm sounds when a refrigerator or freezer door
remains open for more than 2 minutes and the compartment
temperature rises 4°F or 6°F respectively. A warning sign and an
open door icon will appear on the display screen.
To turn off the alarm, close the door or press the Cancel/Hold
button.
Air Filter Reset
Restart the air filter status tracking feature each time you replace
the air filter. See "Changing the Air Filter."
Press and hold the Temperature and Adjust controls
simultaneously for 3 seconds
When the status indicator is reset, the full bar will appear
below the Filter icon on the display screen, as shown.
Ice Maker
(on some models - Accessory)
Turning the Ice Maker On/Off
NOTE: Do not force the wire shutoff arm up or down.
To turn the ice maker on, simply lower the wire shutoff arm.
NOTE: Your ice maker has an automatic shutoff. As ice is
made, the ice cubes will fill the ice storage bin and the ice
cubes will raise the wire shutoff arm to the OFF (arm up)
position.
To manually turn the ice maker off, lift the wire shutoff arm to
the OFF (arm up) position and listen for the click to make sure
the ice maker will not continue to operate.
