Drilling holes in the body (hinge fitted)
Insert two pins (pos. 2) in any 2 adjacent holes in a row to mark the centre of the pivots (Fig. 14).
Position CMT900 on the work piece so that the central axis of the selected hinge spacing on the
template is aligned with the central axis on the work piece and the pins are up against the front edge
of the work piece. Use the CMT400-1 adaptor chuck with a drill bit for Ø3mm blind holes for wood
screws or Ø5mm for euro screws.

Make certain that the stops are up against the front edge of the board and the hinge axis on the
drilling template is at the same point as the hinge axis on the work piece. Fix the drilling template
to the work piece using clamps. Set the drilling depth of the adaptor chuck according to the wood
screws used. Insert the adaptor chuck with the relative drill bit in the main row of holes and drill a
hole to the right of the axis and another to the left (detail Fig. 14). Make certain the drill rotates in
the correct direction – these are right-hand bits.
