SaFety InFormatIon
1. Please read the following information and
keep it for future reference.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised in order
to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
4. Connect the appliance only to an AC power
supply with the voltage indicated on the
rating plate.
5. Do not operate this appliance with an
external timer or remote control system.
6. The appliance may never be immersed in
water or other liquids. Keep the appliance
dry.
7. Make sure that the lead cable does not
touch hot parts.
8. Always disconnect the lead cable from the
wall socket pulling on the plug, never on the
cable.
9. Unroll the lead cable completely to avoid
damage caused by overheating.
10. Additionally we recommend installing a
fault-current protective device (RCD/FI)
with a conventional design tripping current
of no more than 30 mA in the bathroom
electric circuit. Get personal advice from
your electrician.

11. The appliance is intended for domestic use
only, not for commercial use.
12. The appliance is not intended for outdoor
use.
13. During operation keep sufficient distance
to the walls and flammable objects like e.g.
curtains.
14. Do not operate the appliance near any heat
source.
15. Make sure that the air intake screen of the
appliance is always uncovered. Clean the air
intake screen regularly.
16. Never cover the air intake screen and the air
outlet with your hand or any other object.
17. If you wear hair curlers, hairpins or similar,
make sure they do not protrude more than
10 mm in order to avoid contact with
energised parts of the hair dryer.
18. For safety reasons do not use the hair dryer
to dry artificial hair.
19. Never direct the hot air stream directly to
the face in order to avoid burns or foreign
bodies in your eyes.
20. Do not use any hair spray while the appliance
is still working.
21. Disconnect the appliance before depositing.
22. The appliance features overheat protection.
To avoid damage, the appliance automati-
cally switches of when operated too long.
23. After use and before cleaning always switch
the appliance off, disconnect the plug from
the wall socket and let it cool off.
