Mounting and removing filters and lens shades
Filters with standard threads can be attached to the front of the
lens (1). We recommend the use of the T*
you are using more than one filter at once, this can cause an
effect known as 'vignetting' (which causes the edges of the
US
image to darken).
Adjusting focus and aperture
ZEISS Ventum lenses are manual lenses with fixed focus settings.
To reduce the number of moving parts, as well as the weight, the
lens is permanently set to a focal distance of about 15 meters.
The rear focal point for all aperture values goes to infinity while
each front focal point depends on the aperture setting. For precise
details, please refer to the data sheet (www.zeiss.com/ventum).
The aperture is set directly by the aperture ring (2).

Care instructions for the lens
To ensure that your lens is always in perfect condition, you
should prevent dirt or damp reaching the surface of the glass.
Dust on the lens can be removed carefully with a soft brush.
Marks and fingerprints can be removed with a soft, dry, clean
microfiber cloth. To remove stubborn dirt, we also recommend
the use of ZEISS cleaning fluid.
