Reverse osmosis unit for the desalination of tap water
With the purchase of an Aqua Medic reverse osmosis unit, you have selected a quality product which has been
especially developed for the use at home and has been tested by professionals.
With this unit, you can remove the inorganic and organic substances, dissolved in your tap water, to a
percentage of up to 98% (nitrate and silicate approx. 70%) without adding any chemicals.
In the aquarium, you prevent overfertilization of water from the tap. The growth rate of diatoms and other
microalgaes is reduced. Residues of pesticides and other toxic substances do not get into the aquarium.
1. Delivery
The Aqua Medic reverse osmosis units are compact and highly efficient units. They consist of the following
parts:

fine filter with 5 µm pore size
-
activated carbon pre-filter to get rid off chlorine in the tap water
-
reverse osmosis module with a first class synthetic membrane made of polyamide/polysulfone. The daily
output depends on the water pressure and temperature.

The pure water output of Aqua Medic reverse osmosis membranes depends on the pure water pressure in front
of the membrane and the water temperature. The values are average values, not specifications.
