Safety Precautions
•
Be sure to read these safety precautions thoroughly to ensure correct installation.
•
The precautions described here are important for your safety and must be followed.
•
The following two symbols are used to denote dangers that may be caused by incorrect installation. They are classified according to the degree of
danger.
Warning:
This symbol denotes what could lead to serious injury or death if you install the mechanism incorrectly.
Caution:
This symbol denotes what could lead to personal injury or damage to your property if you install the mechanism incorrectly.
•
After installation is complete, perform a test run and check there are no abnormalities. In addition, explain the safety precautions, method of
operation, and maintenance of the unit to your customer, and give them a copy of this manual.
•
The customer is requested to keep this manual together with the user's manual in a safe place. If another user is going to use this unit, make sure
that the end user gets a copy of each manual.
Warning:
•
Ask your dealer or an authorized technician to install the unit.
•
Install the unit in a location that can withstand its weight.
•
Use the specified cables for wiring.
•
Use only accessories authorized by Mitsubishi Electric and ask
your dealer or an authorized technician to install them.
•
Install the unit according to this installation manual.
•
Have all electric work done by a licensed electrician according
to local regulations.
•
If the unit is installed in a small room, measures must be taken
to prevent the refrigerant concentration from exceeding the
safety limit even if the refrigerant should leak.
•
The cut face punched parts are sharp and can cause an injury,
etc. Be sure to wear protective clothing such as gloves, etc.,
when installing the unit.
•
Check for refrigerant leaks after installation is complete.
•
Ventilate the room if refrigerant leaks during operation.
If the refrigerant comes in contact with a flame, poisonous gases
will be released.

Caution:
•
Do not use the existing refrigerant piping when using R407C
refrigerant.
•
Use ester oil, either oil or alkylbenzene (small amount) as a re-
frigerator oil to coat flares and flange connections when using
R407C refrigerant.
•
Do not use the unit where food, pets, plants, precision instru-
ments, or artwork are kept.
•
Do not use the unit in special environments.
•
Ground the unit.
•
Install a ground-fault interrupter as required.
•
Use power line cables of sufficient current carrying capacity
and rating.
•
Use only a circuit breaker and fuse of the specified capacity.
•
Do not touch the switches with wet fingers.
•
Do not touch the refrigerant pipes during and immediately after
operation.
•
Do not turn off the power immediately after stopping operation.
•
Make sure that the refrigerant pipes are well insulated to pre-
vent condensation.
