"AGCMAX".
Gamma correction factor
DIP switch (9c) offers an alternative between the
gamma values 0.45 (" γ 1") and 1.0 (" γ 2"). The stand-
ard adjustment is 0.45. If an optimum adjustment of
the contrast on the monitor is impossible, set the
switch to " γ 2".
Automatic electronic shutter
When using a lens with manual iris control, set the
DIP switch (9d) to "MRIS". In this position, the auto-
matic electronic shutter is switched on: The ex-
posure time is automatically adjusted to the current
brightness. The camera operates with shutter times

When using an AI lens, set the switch to "OFF".
BLC (backlight compensation)
In case of backlight, i. e. light which hits the object
directly or at an angle from the front, the object of
which the picture is to be taken will be underex-
posed. This is also the case if the picture of the
object is taken against a very bright background. The
backlight compensation (BLC) will prevent this
effect. For activating this function, set the DIP switch
(9e) to position "BLC". Without any disturbing back-
light, set the switch to "OFF".
Flicker compensation [for TVCCD-623(E)COL only]
DIP switch (9f) allows activation and deactivation of
the flicker compensation. The standard adjustment is

"OFF". If the pictures flickers on the monitor, set the
switch to "FLON".
Auto Exposure (AE)/Manual Exposure (ME)
[for TVCCD-623(E)COL only]
With the DIP switch (9g) set to "AE", the exposure is
automatically controlled: in case of an AI lens by
means of the automatic iris control [DIP switch (9d)
must be set to "OFF"], in case of a lens with manual
control by means of the automatic electronic shutter
[DIP switch (9d) must be set to "MRIS"]. This is the
standard adjustment which provides an optimum
exposure even in case of variations in brightness at
the place of operation.
It is possible to switch off the automatic exposure
control and to set the camera to a fixed shutter time
instead (e. g. for precisely matching the iris and the
shutter time manually to the requirements of the cor-
responding application in case of constant lighting
conditions). In this case, set the DIP switch (9g) to
"ME". The rotary switch "ME" (13) defines the shut-
ter time. Positions "0" to "7" are assigned to the
shutter times as follows:
