G
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
speaker system or the power supply unit, e. g. a
drinking glass.
G
Do not operate the active speaker system and
immediately disconnect the power supply unit
from the socket
1. if the active speaker system, the power supply
unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the units are used for
other purposes than originally intended, if they
are not correctly connected or operated, or if they
are not repaired in an expert way.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and
yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
Used batteries or defective rechargeable batter-
ies must not be placed in the household waste;
always take them to a special waste disposal, e. g.
collection container at your retailer.
If the units are to be put out of operation
definitively, take them to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to
the environment.
3 Applications
The active speaker system IRS-200TXA combines
a speaker system, an amplifier and a 2-channel IR
receiver. Together with the IR transmitter micro-
phone IRS-200HT (channel A) and/or the IR trans-
mitter microphone IRS-202HT (channel B), it pro-
vides a wireless audio transmission system. The
speaker system is either operated at a mains
socket via the power supply unit provided or with
the internal lead gel battery to be recharged via the
integrated charger. Thus, the system is ideally
suited for mobile applications, e. g. training courses
or lectures in varying locations. As IR signals will
not go through walls, an interference-free parallel
operation of several IR transmission systems in dif-
ferent rooms is ensured. The system is licence-
free. Its range is approx. 15 – 20 m. To extend the
transmission range, it allows to connect up to two
external IR sensors IRS-200IR (optional acces-
sory).
The speaker system is also provided with two
mixable inputs, one for a microphone and one for
an audio source with line output level, e. g. CD
player. A line output allows to connect another
amplifier system or a recorder.
4 Setting Up
For an optimum IR transmission, position the sys-
tem components in such a way that there are no
obstacles between the microphone IRS-2..HT used
and the IR sensor (13) of the speaker system
(and / or the external IR sensors IRS-200IR
chap ter 5.2, step 1) during operation. However,
depending on local conditions, there may be a
transmission by reflections of the IR signals (e. g.
on walls) even if there are obstacles between the
transmitter and the sensor. We therefore recom-
mend to perform a trial operation before final place-
ment of the system components.
4.1 Transport and
installation of the speaker system
For transport of the speaker system, the bag IRS-
200BAG is available as an optional accessory. Dur-
ing operation, the speaker system may remain in
the bag. Place the speaker system into the bag in
such a way that the mesh is in front of the sound
outlet opening. Open the rear zip, fold up the rear
part of the bag and fix it via the Velcro fastener.
Thus, the connections and operating elements are
accessible.
For installation, a stand sleeve with a 16 mm
5
(
") thread is provided on the lower side of the
8
speaker system; it allows to screw the speaker sys-
