3 Applications
The light effect unit is suited for applications on stage,
in discotheques or party rooms. Its light source is a
super bright LED (3 W) with a low power consumption
and a long life.
The light effect unit is designed for control via a DMX
light controller (LED-200DX/RGB with 4 DMX control
channels, LED-200DX/WS with 1 DMX control chan-
nel); however, it can also be operated on its own or with
the remote control LC-3 available as an accessory.
4 Mounting

Always place the unit in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.
Never cover the air vents on the housing (e. g. by
curtains).

The minimum distance to the illuminated object
should be 10 cm.
1) Mount the light effect unit via its support (2) to a suit-
able place, e. g. on a cross bar or a lighting stand.
WARNING Mount the light effect unit safely and
expertly. If it is installed at a place
where people may walk or sit under
it, additionally secure it (e. g. by a
safety rope; fasten the safety rope in
such a way that, even in the event of
a fall, the maximum falling distance
of the light effect unit will not exceed
20 cm).
2) To align the light effect unit, release the locking
screw (1). Adjust the desired inclination of the unit,
then retighten the screw.
3) If required, the light effect unit can quickly be dis-
mounted: Press down the latch (3) and remove the
unit from the support.
5 Setting the Light Effect Unit
into Operation
WARNING Never look directly into the light beam;
this may cause eye damage.
Please note that fast changes in light-
ing, e. g. flashing light, may trigger
epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
To switch on the unit, connect the mains cable pro-
vided to the mains jack (12) first, then connect it to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz). To switch it off, discon-
nect the mains plug from the socket.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a mains socket which is
switched on and off via a light switch.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains voltage
via a dimmer!
6 Operation without Controller
Set DIP switch No. 1 (9) to ON; set all other DIP
switches to the lower position. The indicating LED (10)
will light up.

If the light effect unit does not receive any DMX control
signal, the light beams of model LED-200DX/WS will
light up at different intervals. Model LED-200DX/RGB
will permanently emit coloured light.
The unit can be controlled by music with a clear
rhythm in the bass range via the microphone (6).
Advance the SENSITIVITY control (5) to such an
extent that the light beams will light up or the colours
will change to the beat of the music. With each music
control pulse, the indicating LED (10) will shortly be
extinguished.
Note: If the volume of the music system is modified, it may
also be necessary to adapt the microphone sensitivity with
the SENSITIVITY control.
6.1 Interconnecting several LED-200DX units
Several LED-200DX/RGB or LED-200DX/WS units
(not a combination of both) may be interconnected in
order to control all slave units to the same rhythm via
the microphone of the master unit.
1) Connect the DMX OUTPUT (8) of the master unit
via a 3-pole XLR cable (e. g. series MEC-... or
MECN-... from the product range of "img Stage
Line") to the DMX INPUT (4) of the first slave unit.
2) Connect the DMX OUTPUT of the first slave unit to
the DMX INPUT of the second slave unit, etc. until
all units have been connected in a chain.
3) On the slave units, set the DIP switches Nos. 1 – 9
(9) to a different address than on the master unit,
e. g. set the switches Nos. 1, 2 and 3 to ON.

4) DIP switch No. 10 (OPTION) will define the behav-
iour of the slave units: opposite to the master unit
(switch set to ON) or identical to it (switch set to the
lower position).
