• Remove the plug from the outlet.
• Loosen the hand screws and open up the upper part.
• Carefully clean the cutting and ejection elements. Re-
move any objects that could prevent cutting.
• Put the upper part back in place and attach the hand
screws securely.
Press the reset button before pressing the on/off switch.
WARNING: Always wear protective gloves dur-
ing the above steps.
WARNING: Never loosen the hand screws be-
fore deactivating the unit and removing the plug
from the outlet.
7.3 Disassembly
Under certain circumstances (e.g. storage after use), the
machine can be disassembled by following the assembly
steps in reverse order.
7.4 Operating Instructions
• Place the material in the feed opening on the right
side. The machine automatically pulls it into the blade,
which rotates counter-clockwise.
• Do not place too much material into the opening at
once to avoid blocking the device. If shredding damp
and rotted garden waste, alternate with branches so
as to avoid blocking the blade.
• Compost soft kitchen waste. Do not place it in the
shredder.
• Branches with leaves must run through the machine
completely before you can add more material. Please
ensure that the shredded material can fall into the col-
lection container freely without blocking the ejection
opening.
• Ensure that the shredded material does not block the
ventilation openings (cover, clog, etc.).
• Extended shredding of wood or shredding thick wood
or strong branches can cause the machine to stop due
to clogging or jamming.
• Soft material like leaves or small branches can clog
the machine easily. Use a stick or a rod to push this
material in.
• Always check waste material for nails and stones
since this could severely damage the shredder.
• Be careful in the event of vibrations; these are typically

• Always change the blade as necessary.
8. Care and maintenance
WARNING!
Before commencing cleaning and maintenance proce-
dures, make sure the garden shredder is switched off and
disconnected from the mains supply. Always wear sturdy
leather gloves when cleaning the cutter blades.

8.1 Changing the Blades

open the shredder and block the blades with a screw-
driver. Use the supplied Allen key to remove the screws.
Install the new blades in the opposite order.
9. Storage
In order to protect the shredder from corrosion during ex-
tended storage, apply some environmentally friendly oil
to the blade.
