2 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnetic
compatibility 89/336/EEC and the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
Attention!
The unit is supplied with hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Leave servicing to skilled personnel only. Inexpert handling
may cause an electric shock hazard. In any case the unit
must be repaired by skilled personnel.
Please observe the following items in any case:
For outside mounting a weatherproof mains connection is
compulsory. The connection must only be carried out by
authorized, skilled personnel.
The heat being generated in the unit is blown by a fan to the
outside. Therefore, the vents of the case must not be
covered with any objects.
Do not insert or drop anything into the vents! This could re-
sult in electric shock.
During operation the floodlight becomes very hot. Do not
touch the unit — danger of burning!
Do not place any objects near it — fire hazard!
Protect the floodlight against too much cold and heat (ad-
missible ambient temperature range -20 °C up to +60 °C).
Do not set the power supply unit into operation, and imme-
diately disconnect it from the mains voltage if:
