Safety precautions when handling liquid gas

!
WARNING!
Keep combustible materials away from heating or cooking devices
and other light or heat sources.
Danger of suffocation!
Ensure that the surrounding area is sufficiently ventilated before
switching on the device. During operation, air vents with a free cross-
section of at least 150 cm
These vents can be closed, but must be kept open when the device is
in use (see sign located above the hob).
Compare the pressure information on the type plate with the pressure
information on the propane or butane gas bottle.
Never store liquid gas bottles in unventilated areas.
Keep liquid gas bottles away from direct sunlight. The temperature
may not exceed 50 °C.
If you smell gas:
– Open all windows and leave the room.
– Do not touch any electrical devices or switches and do not use
naked flames (risk of gas ignition).
– Close the valve on the gas bottle and keep it closed until the error
is rectified.
– Never attempt to find a gas leak with a naked flame.
The hob must not be operated in garages, on ferries or when
refuelling.

Operating the device safely

WARNING!
Use long matches or a suitable lighter. The complete ignition process
must be visible from above and must not be hidden by pots placed on
top of the hob.
Remove your hand quickly as soon as the burner is lit.
Wear suitable clothing when using the hob.
Do not wear loose, hanging clothing which may catch fire.

Let the hob cool down to room temperature before touching it with
bare hands.
