keep the two shimming washers (12, Fig. F) in place.
10) Position the shoe on the bead loosener arm (see Fig. F), taking the utmost
care to keep the two shimming washers in their correct positions.
11) Fix the shoe to the arm with the previously removed countersunk cap screw
and the relative nut and washer (see Fig. F).
12) Fasten the PT 40 to the vertical column of the tyre changer (see Fig.
F2) with the 8 TE M 8x20 screws included
13) Connect the tyre pipe of the PT 40 to the union on the filter/regulator
unit (see Fig. F3)
6.4 FIXING TO THE GROUND
1) Prepare the following tools:
N. 1 - Hex spanner 13
N. 1 - Electric drill
N. 1 - Concrete drill bit diam. 13 long
N. 2 - Metal expansion screw anchors 13x50
N. 2 - M 8 x 50 anchor screws.
2) Position the fixing brackets in the slots in the front upper left and rear right of
the tyre changer (see Fig. B).
3) Using a 13 mm masonry bit, drill a hole to a depth of 80 mm corresponding to
the hole on the bracket (on the tyre changer).
4) Insert the expansion plugs and tighten with the 13 mm spanner.
6.5 PNEUMATIC HOOK UP
Follow these steps to make the pneumatic hook up:
1) Push pedal (5, Fig. H) all the way down to ensure that the grippers do not open
unexpectedly.
2) Connect the inflation gun, if it is to be installed, to its connector (1, Fig. G).
3) Connect the tyre changer to a compressed air network (suggested working pres-
sure from 8-10 bar) using the connector (2, Fig. G) in the installation kit.
Use a compressed air hose with an inside diameter of 7-8 mm.
WARNING!
Use the union (1, Fig. G) only for the outlet of air (to
connect inflating device).
Do not connect the compressed air network to this union: you could break the pneumatic equipment and the
safety devices.
WARNING!
Pressure in the compress air system must never exceed 16 BAR.
