END OF WORK
- To stop the machine, release the forward lever (fig. 1 – fig. 2 – fig. 3, no. 1).
- To switch off the engine use the switch (fig. 1, no. 11 – fig. 2 – fig. 3, no. 12). Always refer to the
engine manual.
- Close the petrol tap, where provided. Always refer to the engine handbook.
CAUTION!
- Disconnect the plug before performing any cleaning, maintenance or repair operation.
Always wear suitable clothing and working gloves.
- When the machine or part of it is lifted to carry out maintenance operations, always
remember to use suitable fixing tools such as holders and safety locks.
- When carrying out maintenance operations and/or when the machine is tilted without
safety locks or supports, never leave it unguarded in places where inexperienced people
and children could have easy access to it.
- Protect the environment: carefully dispose of used oils, petrol and any other pollutant
product!
- Effective maintenance and correct lubrication help to keep the machine fully efficient.
The motor hoe has been developed to require very little servicing. Nonetheless to keep the
machine at its top performances please carry out the following operations:
- Carefully follow the instructions given in the engine manual. It is necessary to check the oil level
every 4 working hours and change it about every 50 hours. Refer to the engine manual for the kind
of oil which is needed.
- Adjust the belt tension using the register placed on the lever. If this is not sufficient, back off the
four engine fixing screws and move the engine itself slightly forward, then re-tighten the screws.
- Often clean the air filter.
- Oil both throttle and clutch cables.
USEFUL HINTS FOR PROPER USE
1) Never leave the machine out in the rain.
2) Do not strain the gear selector if the gears do not engage at once but work the clutch slightly
while engaging it (MP3 model).
3) Never strain the engine too much; in case of excessive smoke from the exhaust pipe the engine
is under strain: reduce speed.
4) Never work at full speed.
5) Remove any leaves and grass which accumulate on the mesh around the drive pulley.
END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE
Wash the machine carefully and change the engine and gearbox oil. Sharpen the hoes and grease
them. If they are worn out they have to be replaced.
GEARBOX OIL (MP3)
Change oil after the first 50 working hours, then once a year or every 200 hours. Use 85W90 oil,
quantity 130 gr. Oil drain plug (fig. 6, no. 1) – Oil fill plug (fig. 6, no. 2).
