Pump continues to cycle at stall, or
will not hold pressure at stall
Pump does not cycle, or cycles

Fluid in exhaust air

Cause
Check valve ball, seat or o-rings,
worn, dirty, damaged or obstructed
Check valve ball stuck
Air diverter valve stuck or dirty
Pump outlet clogged
Ruptured diaphragm
Damaged o-rings
Diaphragm retaining nuts loose on
shaft
Clogged/restricted fluid inlet
Stuck or leaky valve balls/seats
Ruptured diaphragm
Clogged/restricted exhaust
Loose bolts
Damaged o-rings
Loose suction line
Ruptured diaphragm
Loose inlet manifold/damaged o-ring
Diaphragm retaining nuts loose on
shaft/o-ring damaged
worn director valve, o-rings, pistons
or gasket

Remedy
Clean and/or replace

Use filters on air line entering pump
Check lubricator, fill with proper oil
Reset by depressing plunger on bottom
of director valve assembly
